Strategy tips
Own a corner. Park your largest tile in one corner and never press the direction that would dislodge it. Build a snake: descending values zig-zagging along the edges, so each merge feeds the next. Don't chase every small merge — a tidy board with merge-ready pairs beats a messy board with a slightly higher score. And when you must make a bad move, make it early, while there's still room to recover.

What are the rules of 2048?
Swipe (or press an arrow key) to slide every tile as far as it goes. When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one tile of double the value, adding that value to your score. After every move a new 2 (or occasionally a 4) appears. Reach the 2048 tile to win — then keep going for 4096 and beyond.
What is the corner strategy?
Keep your biggest tile locked in a corner and build a descending chain along one edge. The practical version: pick two directions you almost never press (for a bottom-left corner, never up, rarely right). One careless swipe that dislodges the corner usually unravels the whole board.
Why can a single move only merge a tile once?
Merging is one-shot per move by design: four 2s in a row become two 4s, not a single 8. Each new tile must wait for the next move before merging again — that pacing is what makes the endgame tight.
What does sharing a game do?
Each game number fixes the entire sequence of tile spawns. A friend opening your link faces exactly the same tiles in the same order — only the moves differ, which makes scores directly comparable.
