How to play Golf Solitaire
Seven columns of five cards, all face up, and a waste pile below. Tap (or drag) the bottom card of any column onto the waste when it's one rank above or below the waste top — suits don't matter, and the sequence does not wrap between Ace and King. When you're stuck, flip a card from the 16-card stock. Clear every column card to win the hole.
Strategy tips
Golf rewards chain-greed: before playing, look for the longest run the table allows — a single 7 can unlock 8-9-10-J in one sweep. Treat Kings as roadblocks: nothing plays on a King except a Queen, so save a Queen for each King you can see, and clear columns topped by Kings early while you still have stock to spare. Watch the rank distribution too — if three 5s are already gone, the fourth is precious to every 4 and 6 still on the course.

What are the rules of Golf Solitaire?

Do Aces and Kings connect in Golf?
In this classic version, no — the sequence stops at both ends, so only a 2 plays on an Ace and only a Queen plays on a King. That makes Kings the most dangerous cards on the course.
Why is it called Golf?
Traditionally you play nine deals as nine "holes" and count leftover column cards as strokes — the lower your total, the better. Here each deal stands alone: clear the columns to win, and your remaining-card count is the score to beat.
